ICT IN ENGLISH LANGUAGE TEACHING AND LEARNING


The perception of using ICT in the classroom to teach the students is to integrate into the various tools of technologies as the pedagogical introduction in everyday education to facilitate students and teacher in the teaching and learning process. Also, ICT has the potential power to provide enable change in educational tools reform.
 However, looking to the Malaysian guided scenarios by the Malaysia Education Blueprint, using of ICT in the classroom to teach students is not a fixed concept if it perceived as a scale, the teachers are the lower end simply because using information technologies, like email or any platform for student reflections or feedback and parental participation, or another program for presentation tools: such as PowerPoint; to facilitate the creation of student knowledge, a laptop, a tablet; for use during classrooms sessions, and in some cases at home.
Benefits of using ICT in classrooms
i.  using ICT is a way to motivate students about learning in what can be considered mundane methods, such as drill and practice exercises in mathematics and languages
ii.  using interactive ICT platforms, it’s an opportunity for immediate feedback from students, teachers and parents.  for example, be used to making drill and practice learning more engaging and effective.
iii.  using VLE platforms in the classroom will provide a greater possibility of flexibility, Students can work on the same subject, but at different paces-this allows more advanced students to move on faster and deeper, whereas students who are struggling can be immediately identified and be given extra time for learning the basics.
iv. It also this flexibility allows the teachers to give individual attention and study plans to each student.
v. It provides an excellent opportunity to enhance presentation and research skills.
