The use of Technology in English Language Learning: A Literature Review

The article entitled “The use of Technology in English Language Learning: A Literature Review” implies that there is an extensive benefit on the use of technology in learning English as well as improving learner’s English skill. The use of technology could assist language learning in meeting the need of the different intelligence.

Technology is an effective tool to help and improve language learning. When teachers utilize technology to adopt classroom activities, it enables them to amplify the language learning process. In this article, the researcher highlights the significance of using new technologies in learning process. In this article, the researcher highlights the significance of using new technologies in learning English as a second or foreign language. It focuses on various attitudes to enhance learning skills among English language learners through using technologies. Learners can be benefited in many ways by the use of technology in learning English. Technology has a vital role in promoting activities for learners as well as effect on teaching method. Thus, it is inevitable for teachers to have a wide range of knowledge on technologies in teaching language skills.

Furthermore, using technology to enhance language learning process is one of the ways on complementing the teaching method. Using technology in classroom could facilitate teachers in delivering the lessons. We have learnt about numerous platforms in delivering the lessons such as, the use of Glogster, Canava to make an interactive poster of a lesson as we are attending a course in this semester named ICT for English Language. Hot Potato was also introduced by our lecturer as another form of delivering lesson in the class. All these platforms are absolutely assist teachers in maximizing the language learning.
